The Ecce Homo religious float is a polychrome wooden effigy of an anonymous 17 th century artist. It has oriental features, and, curiously, has tears, something which is rather unusual in the Christs, it was worshipped in the convent of San Ildefonso. After that convent’s closing, the effigy was moved to the church of Santo Domingo to be added to the permanent exhibition of religious floats of Plasencia’s Holy Week. The sculpture is a bust which is carried in procession on a column and its entirety is carried on a throne from the Crespo brothers’ workshops.
