A clothed figure sculpted by the maker of religious images from Extremadura Joséf Jiménez Sánchez, born in Logrosán in 1693. One of the oldest sculptures of the Holy Week in Placencia, it is worshipped all year round in the Cathedral. The sacred effigy has six mantles, the oldest of which dating back to 1900. It is carried in procession on a silver throne from the Meneses factory, dating from 1930, to which a fine wood throne was later added, the work of the Crespo Brothers’ Workshop in Plasencia. The cross carried by the Nazarene dates back from 1974, a gift from Mr. Antonio Crespo Yañez.
